Job Description

TUMI is looking for an experienced and creative Assistant Merchandising Product Manager to join our team and be part of a fast-growing and dynamic organization. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual who is passionate about product management and has a keen eye for detail. He/she should be someone who can drive results and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.To be successful in this role, the Assistant Merchandising Product Manager should have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product management, preferably in the fashion/retail industry. The candidate should have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. He/she should be highly organized and have the ability to think strategically. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute merchandising strategies to maximize product sales and profitability.
  2. Monitor and analyze market trends to inform product development and identify areas of opportunity.
  3. Lead the product development process, from concept to launch, including selection of materials and fabrics, product design, pricing, and packaging.
  4. Provide product training to the sales and retail teams.
  5. Prepare and manage the product and merchandising budgets.
  6. Work closely with design and production teams to ensure products are delivered on time and to spec.
  7. Maintain detailed product information in the inventory management systems.
  8. Analyze post-launch sales data and customer feedback to inform future product strategies.
  9. Establish relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  10. Manage and coordinate trade shows, expositions, and other marketing events.
