- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with parents.
- Act as a resource and referral source for parents seeking additional support or services.
- Attend trainings and meetings related to the role of a parent support mentor.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for all parents in the university community.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of Tulane University through this role.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Psychology, Social Work, Or Education.
Previous Experience Working With Families And Children, Preferably In A Counseling Or Mentoring Role.
Knowledge Of Child Development And Family Dynamics.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Establish Trust With Parents.
Familiarity With Resources And Services Available For Families In The Local Community.
