  1. Manage the library's collections, including acquisitions, cataloging, and circulation.
  2. Assist with the development and implementation of collection development policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with library staff to continuously improve the organization and accessibility of collections.
  4. Conduct regular inventory and maintenance checks to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the library's collections.
  5. Serve as the primary point of contact for collection-related inquiries and requests from students, faculty, and staff.
  6. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and invoicing of library materials.
  7. Process interlibrary loan requests and maintain accurate records of requests and deliveries.
  8. Help with administrative tasks such as budget tracking, data entry, and report generation.
  9. Collaborate with library staff to plan and implement events and programs that promote library resources and services.
  10. Assist with training and supervising student workers and volunteers.
  11. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in collection management and administrative support services.
  12. Maintain a welcoming and inclusive environment for all library users.
  13. Communicate effectively with library users, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of Tulane University Libraries in all aspects of the job.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal.

  • Strong Organizational Skills And Attention To Detail.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Library Science, Information Science, Or A Related Field.

  • Prior Experience Working In A Library Or Similar Setting, Preferably In A Collections Or Administrative Role.

  • Familiarity With Library Systems And Technologies, Such As Integrated Library Systems And Digital Collections Management Tools.
