- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the care of the childcare center.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Effectively communicate with parents and caregivers about their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and progress.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and materials.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations and procedures.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities as required.
- Develop positive relationships with children and families to create a welcoming and inclusive community.
- Continuously assess and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching methods and make necessary adjustments to meet the needs of individual children.
- Follow and enforce all policies and procedures of the childcare center.
- Serve as a positive role model for children and maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
- Continuously seek new and innovative ways to engage and challenge children in their learning.
- Foster a love for learning in children and instill a sense of curiosity and exploration.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and developments in early childhood education.
- Support and uphold the mission and values of Tulane University and the childcare center.
Bachelor's Degree In Early Childhood Education Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working In A Childcare Or Educational Setting.
Knowledge Of Child Development And Age-Appropriate Teaching Methods.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Colleagues, Parents, And Children.
Current Cpr And First Aid Certifications, As Well As Any Required State Or Local Licenses For Working In A Childcare Facility.
