Job Description

Truist Financial is seeking an experienced SOX Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a proven track record of successful financial compliance. We are looking for an individual who has a strong background in accounting, finance, and internal controls. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as a willingness to take initiative and learn in a fast-paced environment. If you are a self-starter with a commitment to excellence, we want to hear from you!Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field• At least 3 years’ experience in a financial compliance role• Working knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, analysis, and research• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other financial software• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Responsibilities: • Develop and implement internal control procedures to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Prepare financial reports, analysis, and research for management • Monitor and review financial processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other reports • Identify and investigate potential compliance issues • Provide assistance and training to staff on financial compliance requirements • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of financial control systems • Prepare and respond to inquiries from internal and external auditors • Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned
