  1. Develop and implement strategies for managing and growing the commercial real estate loan portfolio.
  2. Conduct thorough analysis and due diligence on potential loans, including property evaluations and risk assessments.
  3. Collaborate with senior leadership to establish loan underwriting standards and guidelines.
  4. Oversee a team of junior portfolio managers and provide guidance and mentorship.
  5. Work closely with loan officers and relationship managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  6. Monitor market trends and economic conditions to inform portfolio management decisions.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal policies and procedures.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, investors, and industry partners.
  9. Conduct regular portfolio reviews and make recommendations for necessary adjustments.
  10. Provide timely and accurate reporting on portfolio performance to senior management.
  11. Identify and mitigate potential risks within the portfolio.
  12. Stay updated on industry best practices and trends to continuously improve portfolio management strategies.
  13. Foster a positive and collaborative team culture within the portfolio management department.
  14. Represent Truist Community Capital at industry events and conferences.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Commercial Real Estate Credit: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Commercial Real Estate Credit, With A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Successful Deals And Managing Complex Portfolios.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: As A Senior Portfolio Manager, The Ability To Analyze And Evaluate Credit Risks Is Crucial. The Candidate Should Possess Advanced Financial Analysis Skills And Be Able To Make Sound Credit Decisions Based On Market Trends And Data.

  • Leadership And Team Management Experience: This Role Requires The Candidate To Lead A Team Of Credit Analysts And Portfolio Managers. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Managing And Mentoring A Team, With Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Foster A Collaborative And Supportive Work Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements: Truist Community Capital Operates In A Highly Regulated Environment. The Senior Portfolio Manager Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Regulatory Requirements And Compliance Standards Related To Commercial Real Estate Credit.
