- Develop and implement cutting-edge security solutions to protect the organization and customers from cyber threats.
- Lead and oversee the Security Orchestration and Automation efforts of the organization.
- Collaborate with a team of professionals to design, build, and maintain the security infrastructure of the organization.
- Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular security audits and assessments to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies and make recommendations for improvement.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for all cybersecurity-related matters and provide guidance and support to other team members.
- Assist in developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and guidelines for the organization.
- Conduct regular training and awareness programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
- Act as the main point of contact for any cybersecurity incidents and lead the incident response process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, risk management, and compliance, to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to cybersecurity.
- Continuously monitor and analyze security logs and alerts to identify and respond to any potential security incidents.
- Develop and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Participate in the development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Mentor and coach junior team members and provide technical guidance and support as needed.
Extensive Experience In Cybersecurity: A Principal Cybersecurity Engineer- Security Orchestration & Automation At Truist Financial Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Cybersecurity Concepts, Tools, And Techniques. This Includes Knowledge Of Network Security, Application Security, Data Protection, Threat Intelligence, And Incident Response.
Strong Technical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Technical Skills In Areas Such As Scripting And Coding, Network And System Administration, And Security Tools Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Vulnerability Scanners. They Should Also Have Experience With Security Orchestration And Automation Tools Such As Splunk, Phantom, Or Demisto.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Principal Cybersecurity Engineer, This Role Requires The Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Engineers, Analysts, And Administrators. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication, Problem-Solving, And Project Management Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Drive Security Initiatives.
