Mainframe Security Engineer

Truist Financial is looking for an experienced and results-oriented Mainframe Security Engineer to join the Information Security team! We are seeking a professional who is passionate about security, can quickly adapt to new technologies, and is committed to continuous improvement.In this role, you will be responsible for the oversight and maintenance of the mainframe security environment, ensuring compliance with security policies and standards, and providing technical security expertise to our stakeholders. In addition, you will be responsible for securing our mainframe applications and databases while ensuring stability and performance.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of five years of experience in mainframe security, with a strong understanding of mainframe operating systems, security tools, and IBM z/OS. You must also be knowledgeable in mainframe security architectures, RACF, and have experience in working with a variety of security tools. Experience in developing security policies, standards, and best practices is highly desirable. In addition, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
