  1. Lead and oversee all aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions for Truist Financial.
  2. Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets and strategic partnerships.
  3. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including company executives, investment bankers, and legal advisors.
  4. Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence on potential deals.
  5. Develop and implement M&A strategies and plans to support the growth and success of the organization.
  6. Negotiate terms and conditions of deals, including valuations, financing, and legal agreements.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of M&A transactions.
  8. Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify potential M&A opportunities.
  9. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  10. Communicate and present M&A updates and recommendations to senior management.
  11. Manage and maintain confidential information related to M&A transactions.
  12. Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices related to M&A.
  13. Represent Truist Financial in industry events and conferences to build relationships and identify potential M&A opportunities.
  14. Manage and prioritize multiple M&A projects simultaneously.
  15. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the M&A team.
  16. Act as a thought leader and subject matter expert in the field of M&A.
  17. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to M&A activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In M&A: A Successful Candidate For A M&A Director/Managing Director Position Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Mergers And Acquisitions, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Leading And Executing M&A Transactions.

  • Strong Financial And Analytical Skills: A M&A Director/Managing Director Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Financial Concepts And Be Able To Analyze Complex Financial Data. They Should Be Able To Identify Potential Risks And Opportunities In M&A Deals And Provide Strategic Recommendations To Senior Management.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: As A Senior Leader In The M&A Department, The Director/Managing Director Should Have Excellent Leadership And Management Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Lead And Motivate A Team, Delegate Tasks, And Provide Guidance And Support To Team Members.

  • Communication And Relationship Building: The Director/Managing Director Will Be Responsible For Building And Maintaining Relationships With Key Stakeholders, Both Internal And External. Therefore, Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Build Rapport And Trust With Others Are Essential For This Role.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: M&A Transactions In The Financial Services Industry Are Subject To Strict Regulatory Requirements. A Successful Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations And Be Able To Ensure Compliance Throughout The M&A Process. They Should Also Have Experience In Navigating Regulatory Approvals And Obtaining Necessary Approvals From Regulatory Bodies.
