Truist Financial is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Legal Professional for SEC Filings. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with all SEC regulations and requirements. We are looking for someone with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of securities law.   1. Ensure compliance with all SEC regulations and requirements in all aspects of SEC filings.
  2. Conduct thorough research and stay updated on changes in securities law and regulations.
  3. Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary information for SEC filings.
  4. Manage and oversee the preparation, review, and submission of all SEC filings, including 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and proxy statements.
  5. Review and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with SEC requirements.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel and auditors.
  7. Act as a subject matter expert on securities law and provide guidance and support to other teams within the organization.
  8. Participate in internal audits and assist in responding to any SEC inquiries or investigations.
  9. Identify potential risks and proactively implement measures to mitigate them.
  10. Serve as the main point of contact for any SEC-related matters and handle all communication with the SEC as needed.
  11. Ensure all documentation and records related to SEC filings are accurate and up-to-date.
  12. Train and educate other team members on SEC regulations and requirements.
  13. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advise management on potential impacts on SEC filings.
  14. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to SEC filings.
  15. Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Sec Regulations: A Legal Professional At Truist Financial Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The Securities And Exchange Commission (Sec) Regulations And Requirements For Filing Financial Statements, Disclosures, And Other Documents.

  • Experience With Public Company Reporting: An Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Publicly Traded Companies And Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Reporting Requirements For Public Companies.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Essential For A Legal Professional At Truist Financial. This Role Requires Working Closely With Various Departments And Stakeholders To Gather Information And Ensure Timely And Accurate Filings.

  • Legal And Financial Background: A Legal Professional Should Have A Combination Of Legal And Financial Background To Understand The Complexities Of Sec Filings. This Includes Knowledge Of Accounting Principles, Financial Statements, And Legal Terminology Related To Securities And Corporate Governance.
