Internal Auditor - IT

- Conduct thorough and comprehensive audits of the organization's IT systems and processes to assess their security and integrity.
- Develop and implement effective audit plans and procedures to identify potential risks and areas for improvement.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and make recommendations for enhancements to mitigate identified risks.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to key stakeholders, including management and department heads.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to identify and implement solutions to address identified risks and improve processes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in IT auditing and make recommendations for incorporating new practices into the audit process.
- Maintain accurate and detailed audit documentation and reports for reference and future audits.
- Provide guidance and support to team members on IT audit processes and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Participate in special projects and other ad hoc assignments as needed.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process efficiencies and improvements.
- Uphold the organization's values and code of ethics in all interactions and work performed.
Strong Knowledge Of Information Technology And Related Systems: This Includes Understanding Of Various Hardware, Software, And Networking Technologies, As Well As Familiarity With Industry Standards And Best Practices.
Experience In Conducting Audits And Risk Assessments: Internal Auditors Must Have Experience In Planning, Conducting, And Reporting On Audits Of It Systems And Processes, As Well As Identifying And Assessing Potential Risks To The Organization.
Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Internal Auditors Must Have The Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Systems, Identify Issues And Potential Risks, And Provide Recommendations For Improvement.
Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements And Compliance: Truist Financial Is A Highly Regulated Organization, And Internal Auditors Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Industry Standards, Particularly In The Financial Sector.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Internal Auditors Often Work With Various Stakeholders, Including It Teams, Management, And External Auditors. As Such, Effective Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building Relationships And Presenting Findings In A Clear And Professional Manner.
