Job Description

Truist Financial is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team and take on a critical role in the management and oversight of our finances. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of accounting and financial principles, as well as experience in the banking industry. We are looking for someone who is able to think logically and solve complex financial problems, while also having excellent communication and organizational skills. If you are passionate about finance and eager to join a fast-paced and dynamic organization, we want to hear from you!Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• At least 5 years of experience as a Financial Controller or equivalent• Expert knowledge of accounting and financial principles• Familiarity with banking industry regulations• Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Proficiency with financial software and Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and analyze financial information and data, identify areas for improvement, and provide financial guidance and reports to management.
  2. Develop and implement financial strategies to ensure alignment with the organization’s goals and objectives.
  3. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
  4. Prepare company financial statements and regulatory reports.
  5. Ensure compliance with banking industry regulations and internal policies.
  6. Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  7. Supervise the accounting team and provide guidance and training.
  8. Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
  9. Stay up-to-date on current accounting and financial regulations and trends.
  10. Maintain accurate financial records and perform data entry tasks.
