Job Description

Truist Financial is seeking an Enterprise Supplier Management Oversight Head to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to oversee our supplier management processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our supplier relationships and ultimately, the success of our company.   1. Develop and implement supplier management processes and strategies to ensure effective oversight and governance of all suppliers.
  2. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for all supplier-related matters.
  3. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that supplier performance aligns with business needs and objectives.
  5. Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management.
  6. Lead and mentor a team of supplier management professionals to ensure a high level of performance and accountability.
  7. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in supplier management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives.
  8. Develop and manage budgets related to supplier management activities.
  9. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies related to supplier management.
  10. Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and service levels are achieved.
  11. Foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork among internal and external stakeholders to drive successful supplier relationships.
  12. Serve as a key advisor to senior management on supplier management matters, providing strategic insights and recommendations.
  13. Participate in the selection and onboarding of new suppliers, conducting due diligence and ensuring alignment with company values and standards.
  14. Continuously monitor and assess supplier risk, implementing risk mitigation strategies as needed.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador for the company, promoting our values and mission in all supplier interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Supplier Management, Procurement, Or Vendor Management.

  • Strong Understanding Of Risk Management Principles And Experience In Developing And Implementing Supplier Risk Management Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Internal Stakeholders And External Suppliers.

  • Proven Leadership Skills, With Experience Managing A Team And Driving Performance And Results In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment.
