Job Description

Truist Financial is looking for a highly experienced Data Governance Consultant to join our team and help ensure our data remains accurate, consistent and secure. The ideal candidate should have a passion for data and a commitment to excellence. We require a minimum of 5 years' experience in data governance, data quality management, data privacy, and/or data security. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver who can work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of Truist Financial’s data.
  2. Monitor data quality, data privacy, and data security standards and suggest changes as needed.
  3. Analyze data to identify gaps, trends, and inconsistencies.
  4. Develop data quality metrics and reporting mechanisms.
  5. Ensure data integrity by developing processes and procedures for managing changes to data.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and compliance with data governance policies.
  7. Develop and maintain data dictionaries and metadata to ensure data consistency across systems.
  8. Monitor data security and privacy policies to ensure compliance with regulations.
  9. Provide training and guidance to colleagues on data governance policies and procedures.
  10. Keep abreast of industry developments in data governance and data quality management.
