- Develop and implement cutting-edge cybersecurity strategies and protocols to protect Truist Financial's clients and assets.
- Lead and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of our security infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cyber threats and industry best practices to ensure the organization is prepared and protected.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability tests to identify and address any potential security gaps.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security measures are integrated into all aspects of the organization's technology and processes.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on cybersecurity, providing guidance and support to various teams and departments.
- Investigate and respond to any security incidents or breaches, creating mitigation plans and implementing corrective actions.
- Monitor and analyze security logs and reports to identify and address any potential security issues.
- Train and educate employees on cybersecurity best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain and update all necessary documentation related to cybersecurity processes and procedures.
- Communicate with external stakeholders, such as vendors and partner organizations, to ensure compliance with security standards and protocols.
- Continuously evaluate and improve our cybersecurity practices and infrastructure to stay ahead of emerging threats.
- Provide regular reports to upper management on the organization's cybersecurity posture and any potential risks or concerns.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure all systems and networks are secure and compliant with industry regulations.
- Mentor and guide junior members of the cybersecurity team and provide technical support and guidance as needed.
- Represent Truist Financial at industry conferences and events to stay current on industry trends and developments.
Extensive Knowledge Of Cybersecurity Principles: A Cybersecurity Principal Engineer At Truist Financial Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Cybersecurity Principles, Including Risk Management, Threat Assessment, And Vulnerability Management.
Expertise In Network And System Security: This Role Requires A Strong Background In Network And System Security, Including Knowledge Of Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, And Other Security Tools.
Experience With Security Frameworks And Standards: Truist Financial Values Candidates Who Have Experience With Security Frameworks And Standards Such As Nist, Iso, And Cis. A Cybersecurity Principal Engineer Should Also Be Able To Implement And Maintain Compliance With These Standards.
Strong Technical And Analytical Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Technical And Analytical Skills To Identify And Mitigate Security Risks. This Includes The Ability To Conduct Security Assessments, Analyze Security Logs, And Troubleshoot Security Issues.
Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Principal Engineer, This Role Requires Leadership Skills To Guide And Mentor Other Engineers In The Team. Additionally, Strong Communication Skills Are Necessary To Collaborate With Various Teams And Stakeholders, Including Executives, To Implement Effective Security Strategies.
