1. Develop and maintain relationships with government officials and regulators in India and South Asia.
2. Act as the main point of contact for all government-related matters for TransferWise in the region.
3. Advocate for policies and regulations that align with TransferWise's mission and objectives.
4. Monitor and analyze political developments and regulatory changes that may impact TransferWise's operations in the region.
5. Collaborate with internal teams to understand and address any government-related challenges or concerns.
6. Develop and implement strategies to engage with key stakeholders and decision-makers in government.
7. Represent TransferWise in meetings and events with government officials and regulators.
8. Provide regular updates and reports on government relations activities and progress to relevant stakeholders.
9. Build and maintain a strong network of contacts in government, industry associations, and other relevant organizations.
10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to government relations in the fintech sector.
11. Work closely with the legal team to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
12. Act as a liaison between TransferWise and government agencies, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
13. Proactively identify potential risks and opportunities related to government relations and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
14. Collaborate with the global government relations team to share best practices and align on global strategies.
15. Continuously assess and improve government relations strategies and processes to support TransferWise's growth and success in the region.
