Head of Finance Assurance & Controls

We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Finance Assurance & Controls to join our team and play a key role in driving financial control, compliance and risk management at TransferWise.You’ll be responsible for overseeing the financial control and compliance framework across the business, ensuring all financial activities and processes are in line with relevant regulations and standards. You’ll also be a key part of the senior finance team, providing strategic advice and insight to the CFO, senior management and the Board.The ideal candidate for this role will have 10+ years of experience in a financial assurance role and be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent). You’ll have exceptional technical knowledge, including a detailed understanding of financial control frameworks and processes, as well as a strong track record of developing and delivering effective assurance plans and risk management strategies.We’re looking for someone who is highly motivated and able to work independently, as well as someone who has strong problem-solving skills and is able to manage a wide variety of stakeholders.
