Total Wine & More is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Spirits Consultant to join our team. As a Spirits Consultant, you will play a vital role in providing our customers with exceptional service and expertise in our wide selection of spirits. We are looking for someone with a deep appreciation for the world of spirits and the ability to share their expertise with our customers.   1. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
  2. Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge and understanding of spirits, including different types, brands, and regions.
  3. Act as a brand ambassador for Total Wine & More, promoting our products and services to customers.
  4. Make recommendations to customers based on their preferences and needs, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and changes in regulations to provide accurate and current information to customers.
  6. Keep the spirits department well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing.
  7. Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking products.
  8. Conduct product tastings and educational events to enhance customer experience and promote sales.
  9. Build and maintain relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
  10. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide a positive work environment.
  11. Continuously expand knowledge of spirits through trainings, tastings, and self-study.
  12. Follow all company policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service and safety guidelines.
  13. Provide feedback and suggestions to management on ways to improve the spirits department and overall customer experience.
  14. Maintain a professional and clean work environment at all times.
  15. Represent Total Wine & More in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Spirits: A Spirits Consultant At Total Wine & More Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Different Types Of Spirits, Their Production Processes, And Flavor Profiles. This Includes Knowledge Of Various Categories Such As Whiskey, Vodka, Gin, Tequila, And More.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Spirits Consultant, You Will Be Interacting With Customers On A Daily Basis, Helping Them Find The Perfect Spirit For Their Needs. Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential In Providing Exceptional Customer Service.

  • Sales And Marketing Experience: Total Wine & More Is A Retail Store, And As A Spirits Consultant, You Will Be Responsible For Promoting And Selling Products. Having Sales And Marketing Experience, Including Knowledge Of Effective Merchandising Techniques, Is Crucial For Success In This Role.

  • Certifications And Training: Total Wine & More Values Employees Who Are Dedicated To Continuous Learning And Development. Candidates With Certifications Such As Certified Specialist Of Spirits (Css), Certified Spirits Professional (Csp), Or Wset Level 2 Or Above Will Be Highly Considered.

  • Organizational Skills: With A Vast Selection Of Spirits Available, A Spirits Consultant Must Have Excellent Organizational Skills To Keep Track Of Inventory, Restock Shelves, And Maintain A Visually Appealing Store Layout. Attention To Detail And The Ability To Multitask Are Also Important Qualities For This Role.
