Job Description

Welcome to Total Wine & More, where we are passionate about all things spirits. We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Spirits Consultant to join our team. As a Spirits Consultant, you will have the opportunity to share your expertise with our customers and help them discover new and exciting spirits. We are looking for someone with a deep understanding of the industry, a love for all types of spirits, and the ability to provide exceptional customer service. If you have a passion for spirits and a desire to share your knowledge with others, we want to hear from you.

  1. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner.
  2. Share expertise on various spirits and assist customers in selecting the best products for their needs.
  3. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new products, and changes in regulations to provide accurate information to customers.
  4. Conduct tastings and demonstrations to educate customers on different spirits and promote sales.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including product displays and inventory management.
  6. Continuously develop knowledge and understanding of spirits, including their production, history, and flavor profiles.
  7. Assist in merchandising and stocking of spirits products.
  8. Build relationships with customers to increase loyalty and repeat business.
  9. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and promote company initiatives.
  10. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay informed on company policies, procedures, and product knowledge.
  11. Handle customer inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  12. Uphold Total Wine & More's customer service standards and contribute to a positive work culture.

Job Qualifications
  • In-Depth Knowledge Of Various Types Of Spirits: A Spirits Consultant At Total Wine & More Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Different Types Of Spirits, Including Whiskey, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, And Others. They Should Be Able To Educate Customers About The Differences In Flavor, Production, And History Of Each Spirit.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Spirits Consultant, One Must Possess Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills. They Should Be Able To Engage And Interact With Customers To Understand Their Preferences And Make Appropriate Recommendations.

  • Familiarity With Current Market Trends: A Strong Knowledge Of Current Market Trends And Emerging Products Is Essential For A Spirits Consultant. They Should Be Able To Stay Updated On New Releases, Limited Editions, And Popular Brands To Provide Customers With The Latest And Most Sought-After Products.

  • Experience In Sales And Marketing: Total Wine & More Is A Retail Store, And As A Spirits Consultant, One Must Have Experience In Sales And Marketing. They Should Be Able To Promote And Sell Products Effectively, Increasing Sales And Driving Revenue For The Store.

  • Understanding Of State And Federal Laws Regarding Alcohol: As A Spirits Consultant, One Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State And Federal Laws Related To Alcohol Sales And Consumption. They Should Be Able To Ensure That All Sales Are In Compliance With These Laws And Be Able To Assist Customers With Any Questions Or Concerns.
