Job Description

Total Wine & More is seeking an energetic and dedicated Inventory Specialist to join our team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate inventory levels and supporting the overall operations of our store.   1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels through regular stock checks and audits.
  2. Monitor and track inventory movement, including receiving, transfers, and sales.
  3. Collaborate with store management to develop and implement inventory management strategies.
  4. Ensure all products are accurately labeled and organized on shelves according to company standards.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure proper inventory levels are maintained and replenished as needed.
  6. Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to management.
  7. Utilize inventory management software to track and manage stock levels.
  8. Assist with inventory ordering and receiving processes.
  9. Maintain a clean and organized stock room and storage area.
  10. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with locating products and answering any inventory-related questions.
  11. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and product knowledge to assist with inventory management decisions.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and safety regulations.
  13. Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and accounting, to ensure accurate inventory records.
  14. Train and mentor new team members on inventory management processes and procedures.
  15. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment by actively participating in team meetings and offering suggestions for improvement.

  • Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills: An Inventory Specialist Should Have The Ability To Manage And Prioritize Multiple Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment, Ensuring That Products Are Accurately Counted And Stocked In A Timely Manner.

  • Experience In Inventory Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Inventory Control, Including Knowledge Of Inventory Software, Best Practices For Stock Rotation, And Inventory Tracking Methods.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Inventory Specialist, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Ensuring Accurate Inventory Counts And Identifying Discrepancies. This Includes Being Able To Spot Errors In Product Labels, Quantities, And Locations.

  • Physical Stamina: This Position Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Lift And Move Heavy Boxes, Cases, And Pallets. The Candidate Should Be Able To Stand, Walk, And Bend For Extended Periods Of Time.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As An Inventory Specialist, You Will Interact With Various Teams Within The Store, Including Receiving, Merchandising, And Sales. The Ability To Communicate Effectively And Work Collaboratively With Others Is Essential For Success In This Role.
