1. Conduct market research to identify current and emerging trends in the wine industry.
2. Collaborate with the buying team to curate a diverse and high-quality selection of wines from various regions.
3. Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with wine suppliers and distributors.
4. Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing recommendations to ensure adequate stock and variety.
5. Conduct regular tastings and evaluations to assess the quality and value of potential new wines.
6. Stay up-to-date on industry developments, including changes in laws and regulations, to inform buying decisions.
7. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create effective promotions and campaigns for featured wines.
8. Monitor pricing and implement strategies to ensure competitive pricing and maximize profitability.
9. Maintain accurate records of purchases, sales, and inventory levels.
10. Assist in training and educating staff on wine knowledge and sales techniques.
11. Stay informed on customer preferences and feedback to make informed buying decisions.
12. Attend trade shows and industry events to network and source new wines.
13. Work with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and exclusivity agreements.
14. Help develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
15. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service and compliance with laws and regulations.
