- Collaborate with the Head Wine Buyer to develop and execute a strategic purchasing plan that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Conduct market research and stay up-to-date on industry trends to identify new and unique wine products that will appeal to our customers.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and distributors to negotiate favorable pricing and terms for wine purchases.
- Evaluate and analyze the quality, taste, and value of potential wine purchases to ensure they meet our standards and will resonate with our customers.
- Assist in managing inventory levels and making purchasing decisions to maximize sales and minimize waste.
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional strategies that showcase our wine selection and attract customers.
- Collaborate with the store teams to provide training and education on wine products, including tastings and classes.
- Stay informed on industry regulations and maintain compliance with all state and federal laws regarding the sale and distribution of alcohol.
- Continuously monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, adjust purchasing strategies, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Keep up-to-date on product knowledge, including wine regions, varietals, and production methods, to provide accurate and helpful information to customers.
Knowledge And Passion For Wine: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding And Appreciation For Different Types Of Wine, Including Varietals, Regions, And Styles. This Includes The Ability To Accurately Describe And Recommend Wines Based On Their Taste, Aroma, And Production Methods.
