1. Work closely with the Wine Buyer to develop and maintain relationships with wineries and distributors to source the best wines for our customers.
2. Research and assess new and existing wines to determine quality, value, and marketability.
3. Attend trade shows and industry events to discover new wines and trends.
4. Conduct tastings and evaluations of potential wines to ensure they meet our standards.
5. Collaborate with the Wine Buyer to create and maintain a diverse and balanced wine selection.
6. Assist with negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers to maximize profitability.
7. Monitor and analyze sales data to make informed purchasing decisions.
8. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and customer preferences.
9. Assist with inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking wines.
10. Provide exceptional customer service by offering wine recommendations and answering questions about our products.
11. Train and educate sales associates on wine knowledge and customer service skills.
12. Help plan and execute wine events and promotions.
13. Ensure all wines are priced accurately and displayed attractively.
14. Maintain a clean and organized wine department.
15. Continuously strive to expand wine knowledge and expertise through self-study and training opportunities.
