- Collaborate with the Wine Buyer to develop a comprehensive wine buying strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives.
- Conduct extensive research on current and emerging trends in the wine industry, including new varietals, regions, and winemaking techniques.
- Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to identify potential opportunities for the company.
- Assist in the selection and evaluation of new wines to add to the company's inventory, considering factors such as quality, price, and customer demand.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate favorable pricing and terms for the company.
- Ensure all wines meet the company's quality standards and are in compliance with all regulations and laws.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop effective promotional strategies for featured wines.
- Train and educate store associates on wine knowledge and provide ongoing support and guidance.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the Wine Buyer to make adjustments as needed to optimize sales and minimize waste.
- Participate in wine tastings and events to stay up-to-date on industry developments and expand knowledge base.
- Assist in managing the wine budget and track expenses to ensure profitability.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the wine selection to meet customer needs and preferences.
- Contribute to overall store success by providing exceptional customer service and promoting a positive and welcoming shopping experience.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on sales performance and inventory levels.
- Stay informed on all company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and laws.
