As an Assistant Buyer, you will play a critical role in supporting the buying process and helping to drive our brand forward.   1. Support the buying process by assisting and collaborating with the Buyer to identify and select merchandise for the Tommy Hilfiger brand.
  2. Conduct market research and analysis to stay updated on fashion trends, customer preferences and competitor strategies.
  3. Assist in creating and maintaining purchase orders, tracking inventory, and updating product information.
  4. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as design, production, and marketing to ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
  5. Collaborate with vendors to negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  6. Participate in product development meetings and provide valuable feedback on product assortment and pricing.
  7. Assist in managing and updating the buying calendar and communicate any changes or updates to relevant team members.
  8. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all product data and maintain organized records of all purchase orders and invoices.
  9. Monitor inventory levels and assist in identifying slow-moving products to strategize markdowns or promotions.
  10. Act as a brand ambassador by staying up-to-date on Tommy Hilfiger's values, history, and current collections.
  11. Provide support to the Buyer in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and improving efficiency in the buying process.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and develop skills, knowledge, and expertise in the fashion industry.
  13. Embrace and promote a culture of diversity and inclusivity within the workplace.
  14. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment by effectively communicating with team members and building strong working relationships.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Fashion Merchandising, Business, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Buying Or Merchandising, Preferably In The Retail Or Fashion Industry.

  • Strong Understanding Of Market Trends, Consumer Behavior, And Competitive Landscape.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Data Analysis.

  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Vendors And Cross-Functional Teams.
