4. Monitor and analyze sales data to make informed decisions about product assortment and inventory levels.
5. Communicate and maintain relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of merchandise and negotiating favorable terms.
6. Work closely with the planning and allocation team to ensure inventory levels are optimized and meet sales demands.
7. Prepare and present reports on product performance, sales, and trends to assist with decision-making.
8. Assist with managing and maintaining the buying budget and provide recommendations for cost-saving initiatives.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, marketing, and operations, to support the success of product launches and promotions.
10. Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitors to make strategic recommendations to the Buyer.
11. Provide administrative support to the Buyer, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining accurate records.
12. Train and mentor junior buying team members, providing guidance and support in their development.
13. Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and other industry events.
