Environmental Sustainability Specialist

The Environmental Sustainability Specialist will be responsible for leading our sustainability initiatives and helping us achieve our long-term sustainability goals.To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a strong background in environmental sustainability and a commitment to continually improve our environmental performance. Responsibilities:

• Lead Timberland’s sustainability initiatives, such as researching and developing strategies to reduce our environmental impact, promoting green practices, and working with suppliers to ensure compliance with sustainability standards.

• Monitor and evaluate the performance of our sustainability initiatives and develop plans to improve them.

• Advise senior management on sustainability initiatives and best practices.

• Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure that sustainability initiatives are properly implemented and tracked.

• Develop and implement plans to reduce our carbon footprint.

• Conduct research to stay informed of the current trends in sustainability and environmental regulations.

• Develop and deliver training to Timberland’s team members on sustainability topics.

• Lead sustainability projects to ensure our long-term sustainability goals are met.

• Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as NGOs, universities, and other key partners.

Timberland LLC is an American manufacturer and retailer of outdoors wear, with a focus on footwear. It is owned by VF Corporation. Timberland footwear is marketed towards people intending outdoor use. The company also sells apparel, such as clothes, watches, glasses, sunglasses, and leather goods.
