Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are looking for an Environmental Sustainability Specialist who will be dedicated to developing and implementing innovative programs and strategies that ensure our company’s environmental sustainability goals are met. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of sustainability practices, a passion for the environment, and a desire to create positive change.The successful candidate for this position will have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, a minimum of five years of experience working in sustainability or environmental consulting, and a proven ability to develop and execute sustainability strategies. A master’s degree in a related field is preferred, but not required. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement innovative environmental sustainability programs and strategies that align with Timberland's goals.
2. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives.
3. Research and analyze current industry trends and regulations in order to stay up to date with latest developments in sustainability.
4. Provide expertise and advice on sustainability projects and initiatives.
5. Develop and manage budgets for sustainability initiatives.
6. Create and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Develop educational resources on environmental sustainability for staff and customers.
8. Participate in industry events and conferences to share best practices and learn about emerging trends.
9. Work with other departments to integrate sustainability into their operations.
10. Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure they meet Timberland’s sustainability standards.
