  1. Oversee and manage a team of substance use recovery support staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure the highest quality of care for clients.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies and interventions for individuals struggling with substance use disorders, based on current evidence-based practices.
  3. Maintain a thorough understanding of substance use recovery principles and techniques, and stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field.
  4. Collaborate with other team leaders and staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care for clients.
  5. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to support their growth and development.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners and resources to enhance support and services for clients.
  7. Monitor program outcomes and make necessary adjustments to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organization policies and procedures.
  9. Represent the organization at meetings, conferences, and other events related to substance use recovery.
  10. Advocate for clients and their families to ensure their needs are met and their voices are heard.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of program goals, objectives, and budgets.
  12. Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, families, and staff to promote a positive and supportive work environment.
  13. Lead by example and demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical behavior.
  14. Stay current on relevant laws and regulations related to substance use recovery and ensure the team is in compliance.
  15. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development to enhance leadership skills and knowledge in the field of substance use recovery.

Job Qualifications
  • Experience In Substance Use Recovery: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In The Field Of Substance Abuse Recovery. This Can Include Direct Experience Providing Counseling And Support Services To Individuals Struggling With Substance Use Disorders.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Team Leader, The Candidate Must Possess Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Guide And Manage A Team Of Recovery Support Staff. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Mentor And Train Team Members, And Handle Conflicts And Challenges Within The Team.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices In The Field Of Substance Use Recovery Is Essential For The Team Leader Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Various Therapeutic Approaches And Techniques, As Well As The Ability To Implement And Monitor These Practices Within The Team.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In The Field Of Substance Use Recovery, And The Team Leader Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Team Members, Clients, And Other Stakeholders. This Includes Both Verbal And Written Communication Skills.

  • Education And Certification: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Psychology, Social Work, Or Counseling Is Typically Required For The Team Leader Role. Additionally, Certification Or Licensure In Substance Abuse Counseling Or A Related Field May Be Preferred Or Required, Depending On The Specific Requirements Of The Job At Thresholds.
