As a Residential Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality, person-centered care to our clients in a residential setting.   1. Develop and implement individualized care plans for clients with mental illnesses in a residential setting.
  2. Provide daily support and assistance to clients in areas such as medication management, daily living skills, and socialization.
  3. Foster a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for clients, promoting their independence and self-determination.
  4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess and address the specific needs and goals of each client.
  5. Monitor and document clients' progress and any changes in their mental health status.
  6. Advocate for clients and assist them in accessing community resources and services.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients and ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
  9. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  10. Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and ethical standards in the provision of care to clients.
  11. Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  12. Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques when necessary.
  13. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in the field of mental health to continuously improve the quality of care provided to clients.
  14. Handle confidential information and maintain client confidentiality at all times.
  15. Embody the agency's mission and values and promote a positive image of the organization in the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working With Individuals With Mental Illness And/Or Substance Abuse Disorders.

  • Strong Understanding Of Trauma-Informed Care And Ability To Apply It In Daily Interactions With Clients.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Rapport And Establish Boundaries With Clients.

  • Knowledge Of Community Resources And Experience In Coordinating And Advocating For Clients' Needs.
