IPS Employment Specialist- Vets

We are seeking a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Employment Specialist- Vets to join our team in providing employment and career services to Veterans and people with mental health and substance use challenges. The Employment Specialist- Vets will help Veterans and other individuals with mental health and substance use challenges to identify and reach their employment goals.The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for helping Veterans and individuals with mental health and substance use challenges reach their employment goals. The Employment Specialist- Vets will have a comprehensive understanding of the barriers to successful employment and will be skilled in developing and delivering evidence-based, individualized employment plans. The candidate must have a strong commitment to helping individuals discover and reach their full potential.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or a related field, along with a minimum of two years of experience providing employment services to individuals with mental health and substance use challenges. It is also preferred that the candidate have experience working with Veterans. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver evidence-based, individualized employment plans for Veterans and individuals with mental health and substance use challenges.
2. Identify and assess barriers to successful employment for Veterans and individuals with mental health and substance use challenges.
3. Provide comprehensive employment services and resources to Veterans and individuals with mental health and substance use challenges.
4. Ensure that employment services are delivered in a manner that is consistent with the mission and values of Thresholds.
5. Work collaboratively and build relationships with other stakeholders and service providers to ensure successful employment outcomes.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all employment services provided.
7. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of employment services and make recommendations for improvement.
8. Stay current on trends and best practices in employment services for Veterans and individuals with mental health and substance use challenges.
9. Participate in training and professional development activities related to employment services for Veterans and individuals with mental health and substance use challenges.
