
Intern - Community Support
At Thresholds, we are looking for a passionate and driven Intern - Community Support to join our team. This individual will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization and the individuals we serve. The ideal candidate will have a background in social work, psychology, sociology, or related field; strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; and a commitment to the mission of Thresholds. They must have a positive attitude and be eager to learn and take initiative. The Intern - Community Support will be responsible for providing support to our clients in the community through outreach visits, group sessions, and one-on-one meetings. This person must be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients. The Intern - Community Support will be a key member of our team, offering insight, energy, and enthusiasm to the work we do. Responsibilities:
- Provide support to clients in the community through outreach visits, group sessions, and one-on-one meetings.
- Develop an understanding of the mission and goals of Thresholds and effectively communicate to clients.
- Maintain records of client interactions and progress.
- Formulate and implement individualized plans for clients.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
- Collaborate with other organizations and community stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
- Participate in clinical and programmatic meetings.
- Develop educational materials and activities for clients.
- Provide crisis intervention and support when necessary.
