
Employment Support Specialist
Thresholds is looking for a passionate and driven Employment Support Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide educational and employment assistance to adults with mental health conditions who are in recovery. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping others achieve their life goals and have a passion for providing exceptional service.The Employment Support Specialist will be responsible for providing individualized employment support to the clients, including job search assistance, job placement, and job coaching. Additionally, you will provide career-related education and advice to clients on topics such as resume writing, interviewing, and workplace etiquette.To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Previous experience providing employment services in a mental health setting is a plus. You should also be familiar with the principles of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services. The ideal candidate will be a patient and supportive team player who is able to work collaboratively with clients, families, and other providers. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail are essential.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized employment support to clients, including job search assistance, job placement, and job coaching.
- Provide career-related education and advice to clients, such as resume writing, interviewing, and workplace etiquette.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative environment for clients, families, and other providers.
- Utilize principles of psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery-oriented services.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Monitor client progress and provide feedback as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
- Identify and address any issues or concerns related to client employment.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in team-building activities as required.
- Remain current on new employment support strategies and techniques.
