
Crisis Support Specialist - Living Room

As a Crisis Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals experiencing a mental health crisis. - Provide crisis intervention services to clients in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine the immediate needs of clients and develop an appropriate plan of action.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals and community resources to ensure clients receive the necessary support and services.
- Utilize evidence-based practices and techniques to de-escalate crisis situations and promote wellness.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of client interactions and progress.
- Provide individual and group support and counseling to clients in crisis.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the mental health system.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients in the Living Room program.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement crisis prevention and intervention strategies.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and other stakeholders to provide education and support.
- Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, as well as ethical and legal standards.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and case conferences.
- Assist with crisis hotline coverage and other program duties as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and monitor client progress and make appropriate referrals for additional services as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Crisis Intervention Techniques And Ability To De-Escalate Tense Situations.
Previous Experience Working With Individuals Experiencing Mental Health Crises Or Trauma.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Build Rapport With Clients And Collaborate With A Multidisciplinary Team.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Evenings And Weekends, To Provide 24/7 Crisis Support.
