- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions with clients to address their mental health needs and support their overall well-being.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Collaborate with other members of the community mental health team, such as psychiatrists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate level and type of care for each client.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes and treatment plans.
- Provide crisis intervention services as needed.

Master's Degree In Social Work: A Qualified Candidate For The Counselor - Social Worker - Community Mental Health Position At Thresholds Should Possess A Master's Degree In Social Work (Msw) From An Accredited University.
State Licensure: The Candidate Should Hold A Valid Clinical License To Practice As A Social Worker In The State Of Illinois. This Includes Either A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw) Or A Licensed Social Worker (Lsw) License.
Experience In Community Mental Health: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Community Mental Health Setting, Providing Counseling And Support Services To Individuals With Mental Health Needs.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Evidence-Based Practices In The Mental Health Field, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Cbt) And Motivational Interviewing (Mi).
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills: The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As They Will Be Working Closely With Clients, Their Families, And Other Members Of The Mental Health Team.
