Job Description

As a Counselor - Social Worker at Thresholds, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals facing mental health challenges, providing them with the support and resources they need to thrive.   1. Provide compassionate and non-judgmental support to individuals with mental health challenges.
  2. Conduct initial assessments and ongoing evaluations to determine the needs of clients.
  3. Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs.
  4. Utilize evidence-based practices and interventions to support clients' mental health and well-being.
  5. Collaborate with other members of the treatment team to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to care.
  6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and documentation.
  7. Advocate for clients' rights and access to resources and services.
  8. Continuously monitor and evaluate clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  9. Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
  10. Stay current on best practices and innovations in the field of mental health.
  11. Participate in team meetings, supervision, and trainings as required.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
  13. Act as a positive and professional representative of Thresholds in the community.
  14. Collaborate with community partners and resources to offer comprehensive support to clients.
  15. Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all clients.

Job Qualifications

  • A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Social Work Or Counseling From An Accredited Program.

  • State Licensure As A Licensed Clinical Social Worker (Lcsw) Or Licensed Professional Counselor (Lpc).

  • A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Mental Health Setting, Preferably With Individuals Diagnosed With Severe Mental Illness.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Evidence-Based Therapeutic Techniques And Interventions, Such As Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (Cbt) And Motivational Interviewing (Mi).

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Establish Rapport And Build Trusting Relationships With Clients From Diverse Backgrounds.
