We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Community Support Specialist - Group Facilitator to join our team and make a positive impact in the lives of our members.As a Group Facilitator, you will have the opportunity to foster a sense of community and facilitate group discussions and activities that promote wellness and recovery. Your role will be crucial in creating a safe and supportive environment for our members to share their experiences and learn from one another.To excel in this role, we are looking for someone with a strong background in mental health and a deep understanding of group dynamics.   1. Facilitate group discussions and activities that promote wellness and recovery for members of Thresholds.
  2. Foster a sense of community and create a safe and supportive environment for members to share their experiences.
  3. Use knowledge of group dynamics to effectively lead and manage group sessions.
  4. Demonstrate a strong understanding of mental health and the ability to support individuals with mental health challenges.
  5. Utilize excellent communication and facilitation skills to engage and connect with members.
  6. Maintain a compassionate and empathetic approach towards supporting members.
  7. Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement group programs and activities.
  8. Monitor and track progress of members in group sessions and provide support as needed.
  9. Adhere to all policies and procedures of Thresholds and maintain confidentiality at all times.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth in the field of mental health.
  11. Act as an advocate for the organization and promote its mission and services to the community.
  12. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, trainings, and supervision sessions.
  13. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group sessions and member progress.
  14. Communicate with external agencies and professionals as needed to enhance services for members.
  15. Adhere to ethical standards and professional boundaries in all interactions with members, staff, and the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Mental Health Or Social Service Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills With The Ability To Effectively Facilitate Group Discussions And Activities.

  • Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Practices And Interventions For Individuals With Mental Illness.

  • Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Develop Individualized Treatment Plans For Clients.
