- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with mental health challenges in a compassionate and empathetic manner.
- Utilize personal experience with mental illness to connect with and understand the needs of clients.
- Serve as a role model and advocate for clients, promoting recovery and independence.
- Collaborate with clients to develop individualized treatment plans and goals.
- Conduct regular check-ins and assessments to monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
- Assist clients in accessing and navigating community resources and services.
- Educate clients and their families on mental health and wellness strategies.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment for clients to share their experiences and challenges.
- Document and maintain accurate records of client progress and interactions.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and coordinate care.
- Stay up-to-date on current mental health research and best practices.
- Provide crisis intervention and support as needed.
- Serve as a liaison between clients and other mental health professionals or agencies.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the community.
- Adhere to all ethical and confidentiality guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
- Continuously strive to improve the quality of services provided to clients.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to ensure a comprehensive and holistic approach to client care.
- Embody the mission and values of Thresholds in all interactions and work performed.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.
Previous Experience Working With Individuals With Mental Health Conditions.
Certification As A Peer Support Specialist Or Willingness To Obtain Certification Within 6 Months Of Hire.
Familiarity With Community Mental Health Resources And Services.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Establish Rapport With Clients And Work Effectively In A Team Setting.
