Job Description

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer III to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical role in maintaining and improving our supplier quality processes to support our mission of enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.   1. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure high quality standards are met.
  2. Conduct audits and assessments of suppliers to assess their quality management systems and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and implement quality requirements for new and existing suppliers.
  4. Monitor supplier performance and work with suppliers to address any quality issues or non-conformities.
  5. Develop and maintain quality agreements with suppliers, outlining expectations and requirements for product quality.
  6. Participate in supplier selection and evaluation processes to ensure suppliers meet Thermo Fisher Scientific's quality standards.
  7. Utilize statistical analysis and quality tools to identify trends and drive continuous improvement within the supply chain.
  8. Communicate quality requirements and expectations to suppliers and provide necessary support and guidance.
  9. Conduct on-site supplier visits and quality reviews to ensure compliance with Thermo Fisher Scientific's quality standards.
  10. Develop and maintain supplier performance metrics and report findings to management.
  11. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to supplier quality management.
  12. Provide training and support to suppliers on quality management systems and processes.
  13. Act as a subject matter expert for supplier quality related issues and provide guidance and support to internal teams.
  14. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  15. Drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field, With A Focus On Quality Assurance And/Or Supplier Management.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Supplier Quality Engineer Role, Preferably In A Regulated Industry Such As Medical Devices Or Pharmaceuticals.

  • Strong Understanding Of Quality Management Systems And Standards, Such As Iso 13485 And Fda Regulations.

  • Proven Experience In Supplier Selection, Qualification, And Ongoing Monitoring And Improvement.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Cross-Functionally And Effectively Communicate With Suppliers.
