Supervisor, Payroll

Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for an experienced and dedicated Supervisor, Payroll to join our team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of payroll. Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, this role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of the Payroll team and ensuring that all payroll processes are completed in accordance with company policies and procedures.We are looking for someone who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred, but not required. You must have experience with payroll software systems, and the ability to produce accurate and timely reports.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Payroll team to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll.
2. Ensure that all payroll processes comply with company policies and procedures.
3. Develop and maintain payroll systems and procedures to ensure accurate data entry and timely payment of wages.
4. Monitor and review payroll reports for accuracy and completeness.
5. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues in a timely and professional manner.
6. Prepare and submit periodic payroll tax filings.
7. Train and mentor new and existing employees in payroll processes.
8. Remain up to date on changes in payroll laws and regulations.
9. Liaise with other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll information.
10. Support the Manager, Payroll in other duties as needed.
