- Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and optimize the supply chain for Thermo Fisher Scientific.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Conduct market analysis and research to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to achieve the best value for the company.
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate any potential disruptions to the supply chain.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market conditions to make informed sourcing decisions.
- Lead supplier relationship management and foster strong partnerships with key suppliers.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers to negotiate terms and resolve any issues or disputes.
- Mentor and coach junior sourcing specialists to develop their skills and knowledge in procurement.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations related to procurement and ensure compliance within the team.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement activities and cost savings to senior management.
- Continuously seek out new and innovative sourcing strategies to improve efficiency and drive results.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and represent Thermo Fisher Scientific positively in all interactions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Strong Negotiation Skills And Ability To Manage Supplier Relationships.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Procurement Or Strategic Sourcing, Preferably In A Large, Global Organization.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Procurement Processes And Best Practices.
Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Lead Cross-Functional Teams And Drive Results.
