- Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs that align with the company's goals and values.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and risks, and create plans to mitigate them.
- Train and educate employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and maintain effective safety and environmental programs.
- Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics to senior management.
- Identify and address any gaps in EHS processes and procedures.
- Manage and maintain all EHS-related documentation, records, and reports.
- Investigate and report on any accidents, incidents, or near-misses, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Lead incident response and emergency preparedness protocols.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to EHS.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections.
- Work with suppliers and contractors to ensure EHS compliance.
- Communicate and promote a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior EHS staff.
Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Environmental, Health, And Safety Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Laboratory Environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field. Advanced Degree Or Professional Certification (Such As Cih Or Csp) Is A Plus.
Strong Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental, Health, And Safety Regulations And Standards, Including Osha, Epa, And Dot.
Proven Leadership Skills, With Experience Managing A Team And Implementing Successful Ehs Programs Across Multiple Sites.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Senior Leadership To Drive Ehs Initiatives And Promote A Strong Safety Culture.
