  1. Collaborate with team members to assist in the development of new technologies and products.
  2. Conduct research and analysis to support project goals and objectives.
  3. Design, test, and troubleshoot mechanical components and systems.
  4. Create and maintain accurate technical documentation.
  5. Participate in team meetings and provide regular updates on project progress.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers, to ensure product integration and functionality.
  7. Identify and propose solutions to engineering problems.
  8. Follow company safety protocols and adhere to quality standards.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Academic Background In Mechanical Engineering: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or A Related Field. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Engineering Principles And Concepts.

  • Proficiency In Cad Software: Thermo Fisher Scientific Utilizes Cad Software For Designing And Prototyping Products. Candidates Should Have Experience With Popular Cad Software Such As Autocad, Solidworks, Or Pro/Engineer.

  • Knowledge Of Materials And Manufacturing Processes: As A Mechanical Engineering Co-Op, Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Different Materials And Manufacturing Processes. This Includes Knowledge Of Properties, Selection, And Testing Of Materials, As Well As Experience With Various Manufacturing Methods Such As Machining, Injection Molding, And 3D Printing.

  • Experience With Project Management: Thermo Fisher Scientific Values Candidates Who Have Experience With Project Management. Co-Op Students Will Be Expected To Work On Projects With Deadlines And Budgets, So Candidates Should Have Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities: As Part Of A Larger Engineering Team, Candidates Should Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Environment. This Includes The Ability To Collaborate, Share Ideas, And Provide Constructive Feedback.
