- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure efficient and high-quality production of scientific equipment and products.
- Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.
- Utilize technical expertise and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve production issues and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Participate in the design and development of new products, providing input on manufacturability and scalability.
- Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and advancements to identify opportunities for process improvement and implementation of new technologies.
- Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process control plans.
- Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all manufacturing processes.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on manufacturing processes and procedures.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and qualify new materials and equipment for production.
- Support new product introduction by providing technical expertise and guidance during product transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering and process optimization.
- Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions.
- Uphold Thermo Fisher Scientific's values and maintain a safe and professional work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Manufacturing Or Engineering Role.
Strong Understanding Of Lean Manufacturing Principles And Experience Implementing Them In A Production Environment.
Proficient In Cad Software And Experience With Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles.
Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Ability To Identify And Implement Process Improvements.
