  1. Develop and implement manufacturing processes and procedures to ensure efficient and high-quality production of scientific equipment and products.
  2. Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase product quality.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the manufacturing process.
  4. Utilize technical expertise and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve production issues and ensure timely delivery of products.
  5. Participate in the design and development of new products, providing input on manufacturability and scalability.
  6. Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends and advancements to identify opportunities for process improvement and implementation of new technologies.
  7. Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures, and process control plans.
  8. Monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  9. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards in all manufacturing processes.
  10. Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on manufacturing processes and procedures.
  11. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and qualify new materials and equipment for production.
  12. Support new product introduction by providing technical expertise and guidance during product transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
  13. Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering and process optimization.
  14. Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project status, identify potential issues, and recommend solutions.
  15. Uphold Thermo Fisher Scientific's values and maintain a safe and professional work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Manufacturing Or Engineering Role.

  • Strong Understanding Of Lean Manufacturing Principles And Experience Implementing Them In A Production Environment.

  • Proficient In Cad Software And Experience With Design For Manufacturability (Dfm) Principles.

  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And Ability To Identify And Implement Process Improvements.
