In order to protect and enhance our intellectual property, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - IP Counsel to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for managing and advising on all aspects of intellectual property, including patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a strong legal background and a passion for the life sciences industry.   1. Develop and implement strategies to protect and enhance the company's intellectual property portfolio.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret infringements.
  3. Review and draft patent applications, trademark registrations, and copyright registrations.
  4. Provide legal advice and counsel to various departments and teams within the company on intellectual property matters.
  5. Manage all aspects of the company's patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret portfolios, including filing, maintenance, and enforcement.
  6. Monitor changes in intellectual property laws and regulations and advise the company on potential impacts.
  7. Collaborate with outside counsel and internal stakeholders to defend the company's intellectual property rights.
  8. Conduct due diligence on potential mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships to ensure protection of the company's intellectual property.
  9. Communicate with international teams and manage international intellectual property matters.
  10. Train and educate employees on intellectual property laws, regulations, and best practices.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends and developments related to intellectual property.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized records of all intellectual property assets.
  13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and compliance with intellectual property policies and procedures.
  14. Conduct regular audits to identify any potential risks or vulnerabilities related to intellectual property.
  15. Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management on the status of the company's intellectual property portfolio.

Job Qualifications
  • Law Degree And Active Membership In Good Standing With A State Bar Association.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Intellectual Property Law, Preferably In A Corporate Or In-House Setting.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Patent And Trademark Laws, As Well As Other Intellectual Property Rights.

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Work With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.

  • Proven Leadership And Management Experience, Including The Ability To Effectively Mentor And Develop Team Members.
