  1. Develop and implement localization strategies for Thermo Fisher Scientific products and services in the EMEA region.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve localization issues.
  3. Conduct quality assurance tests to ensure accuracy and consistency of localized content.
  4. Manage translation vendors and maintain relationships with external partners.
  5. Provide technical expertise and support for localization tools and processes.
  6. Monitor and improve localization workflows to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  7. Develop and maintain style guides and glossaries for localized content.
  8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates on localization progress.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to localization and translation.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in localization and technology.
  11. Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance the overall localization process.
  12. Train and mentor team members on localization processes and tools.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements for localized content.
  14. Contribute to the development and maintenance of localization-related documentation and standard operating procedures.
  15. Act as a cultural consultant to ensure localized content is appropriate and relevant for target markets.

Job Qualifications

  • Fluency In Multiple Languages: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Proficient In At Least Two Languages, Including English And One Other European Language, To Effectively Localize Content For The Emea Region.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science Or Related Field: A Solid Foundation In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Or A Related Field Is Essential For Understanding The Technical Aspects Of Localization And Implementing Solutions.

  • Experience With Localization Tools And Technologies: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding And Hands-On Experience With Localization Tools Such As Translation Memory, Localization Management Systems, And Cat Tools.

  • Knowledge Of Emea Culture And Markets: A Deep Understanding Of The Cultural Nuances And Business Practices In Europe, The Middle East, And Africa Is Crucial For Effectively Localizing Content And Ensuring Its Relevance To The Target Audience.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: As A Localization Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Working With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Translators, Project Managers, And Developers. Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills Are Essential For Successful Project Execution.
