- Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in scientific processes.
- Manage and mentor a team of laboratory technicians and researchers.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for laboratory processes and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Monitor and manage laboratory budget and resources.
- Collaborate with other department managers to coordinate projects and resources.
- Maintain inventory and order necessary supplies for the laboratory.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise in the laboratory and implement solutions.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and implement new technologies and methodologies as necessary.
- Lead and participate in laboratory meetings and discussions.
- Ensure all laboratory equipment is maintained and calibrated properly.
- Communicate effectively with team members and upper management to provide updates and reports on laboratory operations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Train and onboard new laboratory staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
- Represent the laboratory in external meetings and conferences.
- Ensure all data and records are properly documented and maintained.
- Uphold the company's values and mission in all aspects of laboratory management.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Scientific Field, Such As Chemistry, Biology, Or Biochemistry.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience Managing A Laboratory, Preferably In A Biotechnology Or Pharmaceutical Setting.
Strong Understanding Of Laboratory Operations, Including Equipment Maintenance, Inventory Management, And Safety Protocols.
Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage A Team And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Departments.
Experience With Regulatory Compliance And Quality Assurance, Including Knowledge Of Fda, Iso, And Cgmp Guidelines.
