- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the packaging department on the 2nd shift.
- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of packaging operators to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for packaging processes to ensure consistency and efficiency.
- Monitor production schedules and adjust manpower and resources as needed to meet deadlines and production goals.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Quality Control and Supply Chain, to ensure timely and accurate packaging of products.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to maintain high-quality standards and promote individual growth.
- Continuously monitor and improve packaging processes to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Maintain inventory levels and track packaging materials to ensure availability for production.
- Participate in hiring and training processes for new packaging operators to maintain a skilled and knowledgeable team.
- Communicate effectively with upper management, providing updates on production and addressing any issues or concerns.
- Lead by example and promote a culture of quality and excellence in all packaging operations.
Experience In Packaging Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Packaging Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Successful Team Leadership And Meeting Production Goals.
Knowledge Of Packaging Equipment: Familiarity With Various Packaging Equipment And Machinery Is Essential For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Packaging Processes And Be Able To Troubleshoot Equipment Issues.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Group Leader, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Packaging Operators. Therefore, Strong Leadership Skills, Including Communication, Delegation, And Conflict Resolution, Are Necessary For Success In This Role.
Attention To Detail: The Packaging Process Requires A High Level Of Precision And Attention To Detail To Ensure Products Are Packaged Correctly And Meet Quality Standards. The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Identify And Resolve Any Potential Issues.
