
EHS Specialist

- Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and areas for improvement.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on EHS matters, including training programs and safety protocols.
- Investigate incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential EHS risks in new projects and processes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations to ensure the organization remains in compliance.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities and incidents.
- Lead emergency response and crisis management efforts, including developing and implementing emergency procedures.
- Communicate EHS goals, initiatives, and updates to all levels of the organization.
- Coordinate with external agencies and auditors to ensure compliance and maintain necessary certifications.
- Conduct EHS training and education programs for employees and contractors.
- Participate in team meetings and provide regular updates on EHS performance and initiatives.
- Monitor and track EHS metrics and provide regular reports to management.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance EHS performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on EHS matters and provide guidance and support to other departments as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Health And Safety, Environmental Science, Or A Related Field.
3-5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Laboratory Setting.
Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Environmental, Health, And Safety Regulations.
Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Are Preferred.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Ehs Policies And Procedures.
