Buyer/Planner

Purchase/quote assigned parts/commodities promptly using the buyer Template. Assist in cost negotiations and valuable programs with key suppliers Participate in supplier negotiations and issue purchase orders and agreements that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms, and conditions. Quote new customer order lead times by examining material availability and work closely with manufacturing to provide those dates to help align with customer expectations. Negotiate and settle damage claims, rejects, losses, return of material, over-shipments, cancellations, and engineering changes with Suppliers through the MDR/ECO Processes. Work closely with Suppliers on Expedite/Deferrals and overdue Purchase orders. Use existing tools and processes to Set up new suppliers and new part number.
